Frontline Plus Instructions for use.
Frontline plus is a flea and tick control medication which is applied topically to dogs and cats. It is easy to use, and can be a godsend to animals and their owners in the event of an infestation.
It works by distributing itself into the oil glands of the dog or cat’s skin, and spreads across the animals body. It has a profound effect on fleas, their eggs and larva, killing them within 24 hours.
The medication is effective for different spans of time. For dogs the effects last up to 3 months, and half that time for cats. If you notice fleas or ticks prior to the scheduled time to reapply the medication, you can give your pet an additional treatment.
To apply, you’ll want to snap the top off of the applicator, then locate the spot between your dog or cats shoulders. Empty the contents of the applicator onto your pet, at the skin level. You will want to seperate the hair between the animals shoulders in order to get the most amount of Frontline Plus to the skin.
You’ll want to avoid giving your pet a bath for 2 days following an application of Frontline Plus. While the medication is water proof, and will work even if your pet is caught out in the rain, you need to avoid their contact with water during this period to allow the medication to spread across the animals body.
That’s all there is to it, you don’t need to do anything else, the medication works its way across the animal without your assistance, just groom your pet as you normally would. When it’s time to apply the next treatment just follow these steps again.
